本季最風光的年度MVP柯瑞（Stephen Curry），今天在西區決賽首戰成功締造季後賽生涯連45場投進三分球紀錄，打破「大嘴」米勒（Reggie Miller）保持的NBA紀錄，但勇士卻遭到雷霆逆轉。

NBA季後賽西區決賽雷霆與勇士系列賽首戰今天登場，最大焦點就是全聯盟兩位頂級控衛柯瑞（Stephen Curry）與衛斯特布魯克（Russell Westbrook）對決。「衛少」靠著下半場發威，以全場27分、12助攻，與杜蘭特26分、10籃板聯手，逆轉上半場落後兩位數劣勢，最終以108：102拔得頭籌。雷霆在本季例行賽沒贏過勇士，來到季後賽意外在勇士主場贏得勝利。

柯瑞在上半場飆進兩個三分球，共攻得14分，加上湯普森抓狂投進三個三分球，共攻下19分，半場結束勇士以60：47大幅領先。衛斯布魯克在上半場只得3分，表現完敗柯瑞，杜蘭特（Kevin Durant）則是得13分。

然而，衛斯特布魯克第三節大復活，單節攻進19分，帶動雷霆拉出38：28攻勢，拉近比分。杜蘭特適時支援，在第四節一開始投進三分球追平之後，領軍一路領先，還在終場30秒投進致勝球，成功射倒勇士。勇士「浪花兄弟」在下半場總共只有18分進帳，球隊也中斷連37場半場領先兩位數且最後勝利紀錄。

衛斯特布魯克在賽後說，「我們就是保持競爭力，這是一場艱苦的比賽。」賽前他嗆聲，對柯瑞防守要來硬的，柯瑞全場出手22中9，確實嘗到苦頭。但柯瑞三分球仍精采，除了上半場壓哨投進外，全場共投進6個三分球，季後賽生涯已投進184球，超越奈許（Steve Nash），名列史上第15位。
